brown knuckles, brown nails, brown knee caps, too
yellow blossoms, yellow blooms-
look what green thumbs get you

Today’s prompt: “today I challenge you to write a riddle poem”
This one’s easy for me as I have a “Riddle Me This” category right here on my blog. Although I considered copying and pasting one of my old riddles I decided to write a new one just for NaPOWriMo.
Here ye here ye
Let it be known
Im still really small
Even when I’m full grown
Either way Im very helpful
During youth or old age
My worth does not waiver
No matter my life stage
I pig out on things
That creep some folks out
Im quick when I grab em
As I lurk all about
So not everyone values
My size, style, or worth
Is it my color
Or perhaps my girth
Wait, I’m no fat guy
Im sleek, slender and slim
Im fast when I move
I go limb to limb
Got it now? Do you know what I am?
Ok need more clues
Look closely at the pic
At the different green hues
Im right there in front
Im trying to blend in
You can call me Waldo
When you find me you win!
Recently, we posted a pic of our special bougainvillea and tonight we’d like to share a few more shots. The flowers featured here have been in our 10 x 10 backyard greenhouse all winter. We have hibiscus plants, sago palms, banana trees, a wandering jew, a variegated bougainvillea and that plant with the beautiful orange blooms. We bought it two years ago, and after almost losing it last winter, we were able to nurse it back to health and showcase it in one of our many flower beds over the summer. It was nestled in a corner of the greenhouse this past winter and to our welcomed surprise it started putting out new leaves and beautiful orange blooms a few weeks ago. Long story short- we don’t remember what the plant is called.
If anyone is familiar with it, please feel free to enlighten us….
(we inadvertently forgot to get pictures of our hibiscus plants but we’ll be sure and post some when we do)
Hope you enjoy—-
